Join the Writing for Peace Night to explore your creative side and dedicate an evening to writing about peace. This is an open space to work on your writing, connect with others, and experiment with your creativity!
Taking place as part of the Just Peace Festival, this event invites you to reflect deeply on your understanding of peace: what do we understand when we talk about peace? What feelings does it evoke? How can we put it into writing?
In times when we feel powerless in the face of human suffering and the growing shadow of authoritarianism, this event hopes to be a platform for meaningful reflection and expression of these feelings.

You can bring your laptop, headphones, personal materials.
Note that Grand Café Utopie will be open to the general public from 17:00 hrs onward. You are welcome to enjoy a donation-based meal at our Community Table prior to joining this workshop, between 18:00 and 19:00 hrs. Please reserve your meal here.

This event is entirely free of charge, as change.ink’s goal is to make creative expression accessible and provide a third space for all those that wish to write at night. Message from change.ink: if you can, please do try to order drinks or food at our lovely venue, Grand Cafe Utopie, as they are offering it for this event for free.
Ground Rules
This is an inclusive and safe space for all backgrounds, genders and ethnicities. Especially on a night dedicated to peace, it is of utmost importance that everyone feels welcome and we approach the topic with sensitivity.
Although there will be background music and chatter from other guests, please keep quiet at the writing table to allow for concentration. During the chat breaks, remember to be respectful of all participants. Change.ink wants to create an environment that allows everyone to be vulnerable and authentic. Join them if you’re ready to explore this side of you!
