The Hague is known worldwide as the City of Peace and Justice. There are many people living in The Hague who have their origins in areas of conflict or feel despairing or powerless with the challenges of society or politics. Society today is becoming more polarized and is arguably less tolerant of differences, with some groups feeling marginalized and incapable of bringing about positive change.
Seed Group The Hague has been established as a network of individuals, willing to develop relationships with others from different backgrounds and parts of society. We aim to provide supporting and generating safe spaces to meet without rivalry and conflict. We interact with each other in a respectful way to understand different perspectives.
The group will start small with a core team and will slowly expand as we develop relationships with others. Meetings are based around a topic of mutual interest and may be related to understanding peace and conflict or societal/political challenges. The intention of our meetings is to expand our understanding and consider new ways forward in hope for the future.
